Julie spent her early career on the Media Owner side where she reached Publisher level and successfully led multi-disciplined teams across commercial sales, editorial, marketing and distribution, for iconic brands including:

In 1993 she launched a progressive Executive Recruitment business, which was a logical transition, having been immersed in the media industry for her entire career.

Kathy became a commercial litigator with Wright Webb Syrett who merged with Davenport Lyons in 1995. She progressed to Head of the Employment Group in 1996 and a Partner of Davenport Lyons in 1998.

Under her leadership and guidance, the Employment Group developed into a stand-alone department in 2001.

She left Davenport Lyons in 2004 and, together with a work colleague, set up a niche employment practice that successfully ran for 8 years. In 2012 she launched her own company and became the Founder of KP Employment Law Limited.

Kathy operates from London and lives with her lawyer husband and their son and daughter in the Cotswolds.
